PROJECT ABSTRACT:

In the tender system that is prevalent today, there is a lot of paperwork involved. This is because the system is based on manual bid and renders it very consuming process. Here, no proper records are maintained which is a disadvantage in manual report generation. Also people have to travel long distance to reach the place. This manual system also gives arise to errors and can have bad consequences because of that.

This project “Online Tender management a VB.Net Project” resolves all the problems of the defects of the manual system. This system is designed using ASP.NET technology which can build dynamic web pages easily. Interaction with database, personalizing components are also available in this technology.

VB.Net Tender Management project description:

Online Tender management project, the companies who wish to participate in submitting a tender need to register online through the website. Once the registration of the company is completed, the company adds the different items as per the requirement. When the client views the site, he can check out the various tenders and can apply for the tenders by filling up the required  details.

The company then opens the tenders and then selects the most appropriate tender. All the tenders are clearly displayed for ensuring transparency between clients and the company. This reduces discrepancies that result from the tender disputes that exist in the manual system.

Conclusion:

The project has been designed as per the given requirements and is found to be an effective system. It is flexible in nature and changes can be incorporated easily. The software used to design the system is user friendly in nature and can be easily used.

The system was tested by both valid and invalid data and found to be working successfully.
